Located 30 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania, Crooked Creek Lake was created by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1940. Liberty Pavilion sits in the Hancock Bend area near the park's boat launch, which features ample trailer parking for boaters, sunbathers, and anglers targeting bass and muskie. On-site facilities at the pavilion include picnic tables, charcoal grills, vault restrooms, a playground, and horseshoe pits. A sandy peninsula beach lies nearby on the lake, and the 141-mile Baker Trail passes through the surrounding project grounds.
