Setting
Situated along the bank of the Columbia River on Lake Wallula, McNary Beach is a shaded day-use park located just upstream of McNary Lock and Dam. The site features a reservable picnic shelter with six tables and two fire grills, set among mature trees. Visitors can use a designated swimming area, launch boats from the Oregon Boat Ramp located just downstream, or trek the Lewis and Clark Trail from a trailhead at the east end of the park. The McNary Dam Wildlife Area, fish viewing room, and visitor center are nearby.
Getting there: From Highway 730 turn north onto Beach Access Road, drive for about a mile and then turn right onto McNary Beach Road and that will take you right into McNary Beach Park.
