Macks Canyon offers 18 individual campsites plus two group areas on the Lower Deschutes River in north-central Oregon. Two vault toilets serve the site; no drinking water is available. Individual sites cost $8 per night on weekdays, $12 on weekends (June-September). Group sites run $25–$35 nightly. Year-round operation on first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit. Boat ramps provide river access and connection to the 23-mile Des Chutes Railbed Trail. An ancient Sahaptin-speaking village site with prehistoric house depressions lies nearby. Managed by BLM's Prineville District.
