Setting
At the confluence of the Deschutes and Columbia rivers a few miles east of The Dalles, this 35-acre recreation area features scenic gorge terrain along the river canyon. The campground includes 34 RV sites with electricity and water hookups, 25 primitive sites with water access, hot showers, and a rentable covered wagon. Year-round camping supports fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian riding on trails including the Victor G. Atiyeh Trail. Heritage Landing boat ramp provides river access. The site sits on the historic Oregon Trail.
