Setting
Situated along the shores of Detroit Lake in the Willamette National Forest, this site has 31 campsites (26 single, 5 double) for trailers up to 30 feet. Sites feature picnic tables, grills, and views of the lake, with some shore-adjacent sites offering boat mooring for campers. Facilities include three single-vault toilets, trash receptacles, and drinking water spigots throughout the loop. While there is no boat ramp or day-use area in the campground, nearby options include the accessible Hoover Nature Trail, the Stahlman Point Trail, and lake activities like boating and salmon fishing.
Getting there: Travel 2.6 miles northeast of Detroit, Oregon. From Detroit, follow Highway 22 east for 2.6 miles to Blowout Road/Forest Service Road 10 on the right. Santiam Flats Campground in on the right.
