Setting
Set in the Willamette National Forest along the Breitenbush River, this 21-site campground features old-growth forest and dense vegetation that provides natural privacy between spots. Each site includes a picnic table and grill, with vehicle and trailer space up to 55 feet, shared drinking water spigots, and vault toilets. Campers have direct river views and access for wading or trout fishing, while Detroit Lake and low-elevation forest trails sit a short drive away.
Getting there: 4.6 miles northeast of Detroit, Oregon. From Highway 22 at Detroit, turn east onto Breitenbush Road/Forest Service Road 46 and continue for 4.6 miles to Humbug Campground on the right.
