Union Creek Campground sits on the north shore of Phillips Reservoir in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, 18 miles south of Baker City. Set among Ponderosa pines, firs, and small grasslands with views of the Elkhorn Mountains, the facility features over 60 tent and trailer sites across three loops, including walk-in tent sites and four group sites for up to 60 people. On-site features include paved and gravel spurs, full or water/electric hookups, flush toilets, drinking water, a sewer dump, and access to a boat launch, swim beach, and the 16-mile Phillips Lake Shoreline Trail.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Private here -- no through road within 3.7 miles, a 59-site campground. Most sites here have an electric hookup -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Baker City, is 26 mi off.
