Setting
Hoover Campground sits among Douglas firs, maples, and ferns at an elevation of 1,600 feet in Willamette National Forest, bordering Detroit Lake. The facility offers 35 standard campsites across two loops and one group site for up to 70 people. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets at the main loops, a vault toilet at the group site, campfire rings, and picnic tables. On-site water facilities feature a boat launch, two courtesy docks, a fishing pier, and viewing platforms. Nearby paths include the short Hoover Nature Trail and the Stahlman Point Trail.
Getting there: Drive 2.7 miles east of Detroit, OR on Highway 22. Turn onto Blowout Road/Forest Service Road 10, then go 0.75 miles west to the Hoover Group Site.
