Setting
Fernview Group Site is a former campground perched on a bench above the South Santiam River. Capable of hosting up to 75 people, the facility features 11 single gravel sites, including two tent-only spots and options that fit trailers up to 22 feet. Small parking areas near the restroom fit up to two additional RVs. On-site amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, a single vault toilet, and a hand-pump drinking water well. Located across the highway from the Rooster Rock Trailhead, the site provides access to the Menagerie Wilderness and lies ten minutes from the historic Santiam Wagon Road.
Getting there: From Sweet Home, Oregon, follow Highway 20 east for 22 miles and look for signs for the Fernview Group Site.
