Setting
Cove Creek Campground is set in a Douglas fir forest near the shores of Detroit Lake in Willamette National Forest. The site provides 60 campsites across two loops and an accessible group camp for up to 70 people with a sheltered eating area. On-site facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, coin-operated showers, a day-use area with 1,000 feet of shoreline, a boat ramp, and a loading dock. The surrounding 3,500-acre reservoir is popular for boating, jet skiing, and fishing, while the Stahlman Point Trail is located a quarter-mile from the entrance road.
Getting there: From Detroit, Oregon, travel east on State Highway 22 for 2.7 miles to Blowout Road/Forest Service Road 10. From Idanha, Oregon, travel west on State Highway 22 for 0.7 miles to Blowout Road/Forest Service Road 10. Proceed on Blowout Road 3.6 miles to Cove Creek Campground on the right.
