Setting
Canal Creek Group Campground sits in Siuslaw National Forest, shaded by Douglas fir and spruce trees. The facility features two distinct group areas separated by Canal Creek. The Canal Creek site holds up to 100 people and 20 vehicles across an open field with a picnic shelter, tables, fire ring, and vault toilets, best accessed by fording the creek. The Alsea site holds 50 people across 10 individual spots around a central campfire circle. Neither site provides drinking water or electric hookups. The creek contains cutthroat trout, and Waldport beaches are 20 minutes away.
Getting there: From Waldport, Oregon, take State Route 34 east 7 miles to the campground sign at Canal Creek Rd../Forest Service Rd. 3462. Turn right onto Canal Creek Rd./FSR 3462 and go 4 miles to another campground sign and turn left into the campground.
