Mud Creek Campground in Fremont-Winema National Forest has seven spacious sites among ponderosa and lodgepole pine, aspen, and cottonwood. One vault toilet. Located 35 minutes northeast of Lakeview, Oregon, on Mud Creek. Fishing, bird watching, wildlife viewing, and wading available. Crane Mountain National Recreation Trail accessible 2 miles west via Walker Trailhead. Free camping, May 15–October 15.
