Cottonwood Recreation Area in Fremont-Winema National Forest has 22 standard campsites, four walk-in tent sites, and one horse camp with corral and dedicated water. Six vault toilets. 45 minutes northwest of Lakeview, Oregon. Fishing for rainbow and brook trout on Cotton Meadows Lake via two day-use areas and boat launch. Electric motors and non-motorized boats only. Season May 15–October 15. $6/night.
