Setting
Set at the southern boundary of the Sky Lakes Wilderness near Highway 140, this rustic campground features simple first-come, first-served sites set among dense fir, pine, and hemlock forests. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water from hand pumps, picnic tables, campfire rings, a boat ramp, trailer parking, and stock-loading facilities with horse corrals in the upper loop. Backcountry hiking, paddling, and fishing dominate the area, with the Pacific Crest Trail running within two miles.
Getting there: Located 6 miles north of the Hwy 140 turn off. Hwy 140 turn off is located 1/4 mile west of mile post 36 on Hwy 140 near Lake of the Woods.
