Contorta Point Group Campground sits on the south shore of Crescent Lake in a forest of lodgepole pine, fir, and hemlock within Deschutes National Forest. The facility provides two dirt-surfaced group sites accommodating up to 40 people each, or 80 combined, with space for about 10 vehicles per site. Amenities are limited to vault toilets and picnic tables; drinking water and electrical hookups are not available. The lake offers access for boating, swimming, and fishing, while the adjacent Summit Lake Trail accommodates hikers, mountain bikers, and snowmobiles.

Getting there: From Highway 58 at Crescent Lake Junction, follow Forest Road 60 for 9.3 miles around Crescent Lake. Travel 1 mile west on Forest Road 280 to the campground entrance gate.
