Setting
South Shore Campground sits at 3,400 feet along Suttle Lake in Deschutes National Forest, shaded by Douglas fir and ponderosa pine. Campsites are split between shoreline locations and an adjacent hillside, with most offering views of the lake and Mt. Washington. Each site includes a gravel parking spur, picnic table, and campfire ring, supported by drinking water, vault toilets, and dump stations. An on-site boat launch supports powerboating, sailing, and water skiing, while anglers can use a fish cleaning station. The 3.2-mile Shoreline Trail is directly accessible.
