Setting
Scout Lake Group Campground sits at 3,600 feet in a mixed conifer forest near Suttle Lake in Deschutes National Forest. The campground features 10 sites—a mix of single, double, and triple capacity—that can accommodate up to 100 people total. Facilities include campfire rings with grills, tables, three vault toilets, drinking water, and a day-use area with 11 picnic tables. A large beach provides access to Scout Lake for swimming and non-motorized boating, while powerboating, water skiing, and fishing are available less than a mile away at Suttle Lake.
Getting there: From Sisters, Oregon, take Highway 20/126 NW for 12 miles. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 2070. Travel just less than a mile and turn left again onto Forest Service Road 2066 and continue to the campground entrance on the right.
