Allingham Campground sits along the spring-fed Metolius River north of Black Butte in a forest of coniferous trees. The campground accommodates tents, trailers, and RVs, offering drinking water, vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings with grills, though no electrical hookups are provided. Anglers come to fly-fish for rainbow trout, bull trout, and kokanee salmon, while hikers access nearby riverside routes and the 100-plus-mile Metolius-Windigo Trail. The Camp Sherman Fish Viewing Platform and local hatcheries are short drives away.
