Setting
Fish Lake Campground sits in old-growth forest at 4,639 feet elevation along the northern shore of Fish Lake, 39 miles east of Medford. The 483-acre reservoir is fed by underground volcanic streams, with views of Mount McLoughlin and a 2,000-year-old lava flow on the south shore. The site features 17 RV/trailer sites, 3 tent-only sites, drinking water, flush toilets, grills, picnic tables, a fish cleaning station, and a historic unreserved picnic shelter. A boat launch is on-site for the 10 mph lake. Fish Lake Trail, High Lakes Trail, Brown Mountain Trail, and the Pacific Crest Trail are adjacent.
Getting there: From Medford, OR, take OR-140 (Lake of the Woods Hwy) about 20 miles to Fish Lake Campground. From Klamath Falls, take OR-140 (Falls Hwy) about 4 miles past Lake of the Woods to the Campground. Fish Lake Campground is adjacent to, but not part of Fish Lake Resort.
