Big Elk Guard Station is a historic 1907 log cabin on the edge of Big Elk Meadow in Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Located near Fish Lake, the site attracts visitors for trout fishing, boating, and hiking on nearby routes like the Pacific Crest Trail and High Lakes Trail. The cabin features two upstairs bunkrooms sleeping four, a living room with a stone fireplace, electric lights, a wood stove, and a kitchen with an electric stove and fridge. Outdoor amenities include a picnic table, fire ring, vault toilet, firewood shed, and open lawn space for tent camping. Water is not provided.
