Setting

Limited privacy

Named after a late-1930s Civilian Conservation Corps camp, Three C Rock Campground is a five-site forest loop set under a canopy of mixed conifers along the South Umpqua River. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with two vault toilets serving the grounds. Built to accommodate trailers up to 35 feet, it sits directly adjacent to the Three C Rock Picnic Area, swimming spot, and boat launch. It is notable as the only location along the South Umpqua River where fishing is permitted. Cathedral Falls Trail and South Umpqua Falls are located nearby.

Getting there: From Canyonville, OR, turn off of southeast Main Street onto southeast 3rd Street / OR-227. Continue on OR-227 for approximately 23 miles until reaching the town of Tiller, OR. Turn left onto County Road 46 (National Forest RD 28/South Umpqua RD) and continue for 4 miles. The campground is located on the right side of the road.

  • Limited separation from through roads or other sites here, a 6-site campground with the nearest through road 0.1 miles off.
  • Pickett Butte stands 2,172 ft above the map pin, 2.2 miles southeast.
