Setting
Perched at 1,200 feet along Rock Creek, the Rock Creek Pavilion is set among old-growth trees in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The group facility accommodates up to 50 people and features electrical outlets, drinking water, a sink, a grass volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. A one-mile interpretive trail runs along the creek through the former Rock Creek Sawmill site. While Rock Creek is closed to fishing to protect spawning salmon and steelhead, white-water kayaking, rafting, and fly fishing are accessible five miles away on the North Umpqua River.
Getting there: From Roseburg, travel east on Highway 138 for 22 miles. Turn left (north) on Rock Creek Road and proceed 6.5 miles. Enter Rock Creek Campground and make an immediate right.
