Campground details
Setting
Lone Pine Group Campground sits along Rock Creek, a tributary of the North Umpqua River on the western edge of the Cascade Mountains. Built on the site of a 1930s sawmill, the loop facility contains 11 individual campsites. Campers have access to an open ballfield and covered pavilion located across Rock Creek Road. While Rock Creek itself is closed to fishing to protect spawning salmon and steelhead, it offers summer swimming, with open angling opportunities available five miles away on the main stem of the North Umpqua River.
Getting there: From Roseburg, travel east on Highway 138 for 22 miles. Turn left (north) on Rock Creek Road and proceed 5 and .25 miles. Campground is on the left.
- Limited separation from through roads or other sites here, a 12-site campground with the nearest through road 0.1 miles off.
- Old Fairview stands 3,563 ft above the map pin, 3.6 miles southeast.
- Miller Creek runs 0.3 mi off.
- Most of them shaded.
