Setting
Bogus Creek Campground is a 14-site loop set among old-growth Douglas fir, cedar, and native flowering shrubs in the Umpqua National Forest. Located along the Rogue-Umpqua National Scenic Byway, the facility has paved roads, campsite picnic tables, fire rings, potable water, trash collection, and accessible flush toilets with sinks. The Wild & Scenic North Umpqua River runs just across the highway, providing immediate access to a public raft launch and famed salmon and steelhead fishing. The on-site Riverview Trail and nearby North Umpqua Trail draw hikers and mountain bikers.
Getting there: From Roseburg, OR, travel east on OR-138 East /NE Diamond Lake Boulevard for 35 miles, Bogus Creek Campground is on the left side of the highway - opposite of the campground entrance sign.
