Tumalo State Park spans 330 acres along both sides of the Deschutes River canyon northwest of Bend in Deschutes County. The park features 50 tent sites, 23 trailer hookups, and seven yurts in its developed southern section, with additional day-use picnic areas, restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Native landscape includes western juniper and ponderosa pine with distinctive basalt cliffs. Visitors can swim, wade, fish for trout, hike, and mountain bike. The park is a prime birding location for raptors, herons, and swallows.
