Setting
Set at 6,550 feet in an old-growth forest cirque below Tam McArthur Rim, Three Creeks Lake Campground sits right on the water's edge. The camp accommodates tents, trailers, and RVs with picnic tables, campfire rings, and vault toilets, but has no water or electric hookups. Anglers fish from the shoreline or non-motorized boats on the 28-acre alpine lake. Nearby attractions include the Tam McArthur Trail, Sisters Wilderness Trails, the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, and Newberry National Volcanic Monument.
Getting there: From Sisters, OR: Travel 17.0 miles south on Forest Road 16 (Elm Street in Sisters).
