Campground details
Setting
Soda Creek Campground sits in an open meadow alongside Soda Creek as it feeds into Sparks Lake. The rustic layout best suits tents and small rigs, as there are no hookups, limited space for larger RVs, and no drinking water available on site. Campsites feature standard picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, with vault toilets provided. Paddlers and photographers draw to the adjacent lake for its clear waters and views of Broken Top mountain, while the nearby Ray Atkeson Trailhead offers hiking through volcanic lava channels.
Getting there: From Bend, travel 26.2 miles west on Cascade Lakes Hwy (46).
- Limited separation from through roads or other sites here, a 10-site campground with the nearest through road 0.1 miles off.
- Mount Bachelor stands 3,618 ft above the map pin, 3.7 miles southeast.
- Most of them shaded.
- Soda Creek runs 0.6 mi off.
