All 17.5 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Mostly gravel, with 5.8 miles of dirt. Level ground alongside most of its length. Dead-end road -- no mapped turnaround; expect to back out or unhitch. Gates 8.6, 20.2, 20.6, 21.3, 23.5, 28.6, 28.6, 28.8, 30 and 30.2 miles in. Gates 20 and 21.2 miles in, signed private. A locked gate 20.1 miles in, signed private.
A well-travelled stretch -- travellers have camped along here. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off. Triangle Hill stands 2,854 ft above the site, 5.0 miles southwest. The nearest town, Bend, is 9.5 mi off.
