Setting
Paulina Lake Campground sits at 6,350 feet on the shore of Paulina Lake inside the Newberry Volcano caldera. Located within the Newberry National Monument, the site is surrounded by volcanic terrain and mixed conifer forests. The campground features individual tent sites and large RV pads equipped with flush toilets and drinking water. Visitors have direct access to shoreline trails, picnic areas, and non-motorized or motorized boating and fishing for trout and salmon on the 1,531-acre lake.
Getting there: From Bend go south 23.5 miles on Hwy 97 to Road 21 (Paulina Lake Road). Take Road 21 east for about 12.9 miles. From La Pine go north 5 miles on Hwy 97 to Road 21 (Paulina Lake Road). Take Road 21 east for about 12.9 miles.
