Campground details
Setting
Mallard Marsh Campground sits on the northern, reed-lined shore of Hosmer Lake, where water drains into a porous lava rim. Individual campsites include picnic tables and fire rings with grates, complemented by vault toilets. Campers must bring their own drinking water. The clear, shallow lake is designated for fly fishing only, targeting salmon and trout. Paddling by canoe or kayak is the primary method of lake access due to marshy shorelines.
Getting there: From Bend, travel 35.5 miles southwest on Cascade Lakes Hwy (46), then 1.3 miles east on Forest Road 4625. South Campground will come up on the right side first and then Mallard Marsh.

- Sits on broad, near-level ground.
- Hosmer Lake lies 0.1 mi off.
- Mount Bachelor stands 4,087 ft above the map pin, 4.9 miles east.
