Fall River Guard Station is a 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps log cabin set under lodgepole pines along the spring-fed Fall River. The 600-square-foot single-story structure has two bedrooms, a living room, a propane heater, a stove, a refrigerator, and a vault toilet, but no running water. A picnic table sits outside, and RV camping is permitted on site. The Fall River Trail runs right past the cabin for hiking, while the river itself is restricted to fly-fishing for trout. Lava Lands Visitor Center and Newberry National Volcanic Monument are nearby.
