Setting
East Lake Campground sits along the shore of East Lake inside the five-mile-wide volcanic caldera of Newberry Volcano. Designed for tents, trailers, and RVs, most sites sit directly on the water or within a short walk of the beach. Sites include picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, backed by on-site flush toilets, drinking water, and an internal boat ramp for launching craft under the lake's 10 mph speed limit. Nearby features include hot springs along the shore, the high-country Crater Rim Trail, and the Big Obsidian Flow interpretive trail.
