Located where Snow Creek and the Deschutes River enter Crane Prairie Reservoir, Cow Meadow Campground features tent, trailer, and RV sites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, plus vault toilets and a boat ramp for small craft. There are no water or electric hookups. Anglers and boaters use the reservoir for bass and trout fishing under a 10 MPH speed limit, while birdwatchers spot waterfowl and osprey in the surrounding forest. The area provides access to the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and Newberry National Volcanic Monument.

Getting there: From Bend, OR: Travel about 45 miles south on Cascade Lakes Highway (46), 0.5 mile east on Forest Road 40, then 2 miles south on Forest Road 4000-790.
