Big River Campground sits along the Deschutes River south of Sunriver, framed by ponderosa pine stands, aspens, and lava flows. The site features three large group areas and 10 single sites, all equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, and vault toilets. A boat launch across the road provides access to six miles of Class II flatwater ideal for non-motorized canoeing, kayaking, and fly fishing for trout and kokanee. The campground offers easy access to the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and the volcanic landscapes of Newberry National Volcanic Monument.
