Rebuilt in 1999 as a replica of a 1939 estate, the two-story Ludlum House sits at the confluence of Wheeler Creek and the Winchuck River among an old-growth forest. The un-bedded interior features a ground-floor room, a divided upstairs space, a wood stove, table, chairs, sink, and food prep counter. Outside amenities include a hand pump for drinking water, a vault toilet, fire ring, picnic tables, solar lighting, and open space for tents or trailers. The adjacent Winchuck River offers fishing downstream of the property, and the accessible Oregon Redwoods Trail is located nearby.
