This 405-acre park sits on the south coast near Cape Arago, roughly 2.5 miles from Charleston. The main draw is a crescent-shaped beach with extensive tide pools, backed by hiking trails through coastal forest. A notable feature is a ghost forest of drowned Sitka spruce killed by Cascadia subduction zone activity about 1,200 years ago. The park operates year-round with a campground and connects by trail to neighboring Shore Acres State Park.
