Two Color Guard Station is a 1959 Forest Service cabin located 150 feet from Wild and Scenic Eagle Creek, near the southern edge of the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The furnished cabin accommodates up to 12 people with propane lighting, a propane cookstove and oven, a refrigerator, and a heating stove. Outside, the property features a picnic table, an accessible vault toilet, and a livestock corral. There is no running water on-site. Nearby trails lead into subalpine fir forests, wildflower meadows, and high alpine lakes, while the adjacent creek holds rainbow trout.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Bennett Peak stands 2,252 ft above the site, 2.1 miles southeast. Cabins and shelters rather than pads -- most of them shaded. Two Color Creek runs 0.4 mi off. The nearest town, Joseph, is 23 mi off.
