Setting
Strayhorn Landing sits on a peninsula along Tenkiller Ferry Lake in northeastern Oklahoma's Ozark Mountain foothills. The 12,500-acre lake is surrounded by oak-hickory forests, tall bluffs, and rolling hills, offering clear water fed by the Illinois River and Baron Fork. The campground features electric hookups at all sites, flush toilets, hot showers, water hydrants, a dump station, a swim beach, playgrounds, and boat ramps. An adjacent marina provides concessions, boat rentals, and floating restaurants. Nearby draws include Tenkiller State Park, canoeing on the upper Illinois River, and stocked trout fishing below the dam.
