Setting
Sarge Creek Campground sits on the eastern shore of the 17,000-acre Kaw Lake in north-central Oklahoma. Surrounded by tree cover, the site features 53 campsites with electric hookups, drinking water, flush toilets, a boat ramp, and a 60-person group site. Sites 1 through 7 are built for equestrian camping and feature horse pens. Guests have direct access to the Five Fingers Equestrian Trail, which runs south toward Burbank Landing, while the 12-mile Eagle View Hiking Trail is close by. The lake offers catfish fishing, seasonal waterfowl hunting, and winter eagle watching.
Getting there: From Kaw City, Oklahoma, travel nearly 3 miles east on Highway 11, then follow signs to the campground.
