Rock Creek Group Camp (Chickasaw) in OK -- Campground & RV Camping in Oklahoma

Rock Creek Group Site is a tent-only, non-electric primitive group campsite set in a grassy area of oak and hickory forest within Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Facilities include two restroom buildings with flush toilets and sinks; showers are not available on-site. Located across from the camp host, the site is a short distance from Veteran's Lake, which offers a fishing dock, picnic areas, and a surrounding hiking trail. The Chickasaw Cultural Center, Travertine Nature Center, and Little Niagara swimming area are all within a short drive.

Getting there: From I-35, take Exit 55 and drive toward Davis. Once in Davis, go east on Highway 7 to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. For Rock Creek Campground, Veterans Lake, and Veteran's Lake Pavilion, drive approximately 7 miles (11.2 km) east of Davis to the traffic light on 12th street in the city of Sulphur. Turn right on 12th Street for approximately .6 miles (1 km). Turn right at the stop sign. Rock Creek Campground will be less than 1/2 a mile down the road to the right. Look for the large wooden sign with the campground name.
