Set in the rolling Arbuckle Mountains eight miles off Highway 177, Buckhorn Campground sits in the Crosstimbers region where western plains meet eastern forests along Lake of the Arbuckles. Buckhorn C and D Loops feature a mix of electric sites with water hookups and non-electric sites. Facility amenities include flush toilets, sinks, showers, and a dump station located less than a mile away. Water activities like boating, jet skiing, swimming, and fishing for bass and catfish are primary draws, alongside nearby hiking and biking on the Rock Creek Multi-Use Trail and visits to the Chickasaw Cultural Center.

Getting there: From Interstate 35, take Exit 55 and drive towards the city of Davis, OK. Once in Davis, go east on Highway 7. Watch for the Chickasaw National Recreation Area signs. For Buckhorn Campgrounds, Pavilion, and Picnic Area, drive approximately 8 miles (13 km) east of Davis to the only 4 way STOP (Jct Hwy 7 and Hwy 177) in the city of Sulphur. Turn right on Hwy 177 and go approximately 7 miles to Buckhorn Road. Turn right at Buckhorn Road and drive all the way down until you reach your desired location. Follow the directional signs
