Setting
Turkey Creek Park is a compact campground on the western shore of Pine Creek Lake, right where the Little River flows into the 3,750-acre reservoir in southeastern Oklahoma. Surrounded by mixed hardwood and pine forests at the edge of the Ouachita Mountains, the facility offers 30 reservable campsites, eight of which include electric hookups. On-site amenities feature a boat ramp, a day-use picnic shelter, a playground, and flush toilets. Boaters and anglers use the park to reach 74 miles of shoreline and target crappie, bass, and catfish, while historic Fort Towson is a short drive away.
Getting there: From Broken Bow, OK, travel Highway 3 west for 28 miles to the entrance sign. Follow access road north 5 miles to the campground.
