Setting
Little River Park sits on the shores of Pine Creek Lake in southeastern Oklahoma, right at the edge of the Ouachita Mountains. Surrounded by hardwood and pine forest, the campground offers direct access to a hiking trail and a swimming beach. Facilities include campsites with electric and water hookups, select sites with sewer hookups, a group shelter with five electric hookups, three showers, two dump stations, a playground, and two boat ramps. Driving attractions nearby include Beavers Bend and Raymond Gary State Parks, as well as the 1824 historic ruins of Fort Towson.
Getting there: From Broken Bow, OK, take Highway 3 west 23 miles to the park entrance. Turn south at the sign and follow the access road.
