Setting
Caney Creek Campground sits on the northern shore of Lake Texoma in southern Oklahoma, surrounded by oak-forested rolling hills. The park provides 41 sites with electric and water hookups, 10 basic sites without hookups, and a day-use group picnic shelter. On-site facilities include flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, a boat ramp, a dock, and a small playground. The 14-mile Cross Timbers hiking trail winds along nearby rocky bluffs, while the lake offers access to sandy beaches and widespread fishing for striped bass, crappie, and catfish.
Getting there: From Hwy 32 in Kingston, OK, take Donahoo Road south. Follow signs 6 miles on paved access road to the campground.
