Winding Stair Campground is a mountain-top facility located along the Talimena Scenic Byway, sitting adjacent to the Emerald Vista overlook. It serves as an active trailhead for the Ouachita National Recreation Trail. The facility features paved roadways, developed RV and tent campsites with gravel pads, vault toilets, and an adjacent Backpackers Camp with designated tent sites. There is no electricity or drinking water available at the campground.
