Setting
Washunga Bay Campground is set along the banks of the 17,000-acre Kaw Lake in north-central Oklahoma. The park provides 24 campsites equipped with electric hookups, drinking water, and flush toilets, along with a boat ramp for direct water access. The lake is widely used for catfish, crappie, and walleye fishing, as well as waterfowl hunting and winter eagle watching. Nearby trails include the 12-mile Eagle View Hiking Trail and the Five Fingers Equestrian Trail along the eastern shore. Local historical and archeological sites sit a short drive from the park.
Getting there: From Kaw City, Oklahoma, travel nearly 3 miles east on Highway 11, turn north onto County Road. Follow signs for about 5 miles to the campground.
