Wilson Point Day Use Area sits in a forested section along the shoreline of Hugo Lake in southeast Oklahoma. Built for outdoor gatherings, the park includes a large group picnic shelter, a playground, a kids fishing pond, a swimming beach, and a public boat ramp. Visitors use the site to launch onto the lake for bass, crappie, and catfish angling, or to explore the surrounding 25,000 acres of public land open for bow hunting. Nearby attractions include local Native American cultural centers and Civil War historic sites.
Getting there: From Sawyer, OK, take Highway 147 north for a mile, then turn left into the day use area.
