Setting
Pettit Bay Campground sits on the shores of 12,500-acre Tenkiller Ferry Lake in the Ozark Mountain foothills. Sourced by the Illinois River and Baron Fork, the lake features clear water bounded by tall bluffs and oak-hickory forests. The facility offers campsites with electric hookups as well as non-electric sites. Amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, water hydrants, a dump station, playground, swim beach, and boat ramps with courtesy docks. An adjacent commercial marina offers boat rentals and dining, while historic Tahlequah is located nearby.
Getting there: From Tahlequah, OK, go 8.25 miles south on Highway 82, turn right on Indian Road and go two miles south. Then turn left and go one mile southeast on the paved access road.
