Setting
Chicken Creek Campground sits along the shoreline of Tenkiller Ferry Lake in the Ozark Mountain foothills, surrounded by dense oak-hickory forest and tall bluffs. All campsites feature electric hookups, with access to flush toilets, hot showers, water hydrants, a swim beach, playground, dump station, boat ramp, and electric group shelters. The 12,500-acre reservoir is sourced by the Illinois River and Baron Fork. Visitors fish for bass, crappie, and catfish in the main lake, or trout in the stocked year-round stream below the dam. Ten commercial marinas on the lake offer boat rentals.
