Alum Creek Lake Below Dam Area offers three accessible group day-use picnic shelters for up to 100 guests, equipped with electric hookups, drinking water, tables, grills, flush toilets, and playgrounds. Additional individual sites with tables and grills are available first-come, first-served. The rolling, wooded shore features an on-site visitor center with interactive displays and a theater. A nearby marina, boat ramp, and swimming beach access the lake for water sports and fishing for bass, muskie, and crappie, with Alum Creek State Park trails adjacent.
Getting there: From Columbus, Ohio, take I-71 north to exit 121 for Polaris. Turn right on Polaris Parkway, left on Worthington Road, left on Africa Road, then left on Lewis Center Road. Shelters are in the Below Dam Area.
